On Saturday I went to the BrickFair with my brother-in-law and Keegan. We had a blast, though things started off on the wrong feet – the line was at least 300-500 people long and stretched around the entire building. After a good 15-20 minutes in line, we finally entered the building. Of course that wasn’t the end of the line, that wrapped around the inside of the Sheraton Premiere hotel in Tysons Corner as well. Keegs had to go to the potty, so we hurried and fortunately made it in time. Then after another five minutes or so in line, we finally were in.
Whoa geek alert!
Some of these Lego creations were just totally nuts. You can see some of the pics in my flickr feed. Everything from the Apocalypse to Gettysburg to Trains were seen. Lots of helicopters and art too. Keegan hated going but after an hour or so it was definitely time to go. This made all of my post-modern Lego art look just silly.
Got some kababs afterwards from a local place, I’ll be stopping by there more often fo’ sure.
