Yeah That's My Jam

Gouryella's Gouryella (Magik Version) came up in my trance/drum-n-bass/drill-n-bass/ambient/EBM station and slammed me good. I really need to stream Pandora at work. If only I could figure out a way to kick it without having to run away from my desk every 20 minutes or so.

Haven't been on here lately because my new job is kicking my butt righteously. We went to the design studio to pick out the colors, decorations, and variations for our house. Man, I'm so unbelievably looking forward to that move. I'm not only sick of living in this crap and cramped townhouse but our neighborhood just sucks shit lately. New neighbors moved in recently and brought with them three or four cars. Grief. I complained to our HOA about parking, crime, litter, and how ineffective it is. Sort of created a bit of a stir since I didn't get a response back after a week from the President of the Board so I just went ahead and emailed the ENTIRE BOARD and the whole crew that works for the HOA. Amazingly THAT drew a response and they have directed specific actions too which is nice. Maybe I should go to the board meeting on the 17th? Nah fuck that. I don't want to waste any more of my own personal time with the matter. Besides we ARE moving in May of 2007. Can that move-out date come any quicker? No.

Work has been very busy lately but also quite exciting. My new job brings a whole host of new challenges which is always good. I really need to stay on top of things a lot better though. Right now we're short-staffed and I really find that I'm just not doing as good of a job as I should be. My focus isn't completely on as it should be since I'm still dealing with a lot of residual work that happened before I was boosted into management. My team is working on a little side project that I'm real excited about. Not only will it give them the exposure in the company that they so deserve but it will hopefully intrigue and engage them as much as it does for me. It's really great because it lets them and myself just experiment and play around which isn't something that happens often due to the 'process' our company has for building applications. Just a change of pace I guess. Regardless, I'm definitely excited for that project.

Watched Miami Vice yesterday. That was a stunning movie. Visually it just dominated my sense of sight. Emotionally raw and not nearly as "action-packed" as I would have thought--but that's not a problem, it was just a really damn good movie. Colin Farrell with a mustache was funny.

Yesterday my son was a true angel. He was just so sweet and happy. Which unfortunately he hasn't always been these last few days because we think he's cutting teeth, or beginning to at least. He's just growing up so fast. Soon he'll be walking and talking and not interested in taking a nap on dad's chest while he watches some movie starring Kane from the WWE!
