Wow Republicans Care About the Real Issues of the Day
You know, they're hoping to get re-elected on Gay Marriage again. And you know, doing other incredibly important work like voting that English should be the national language (I'm sure the immigrant bloodline must run thin in the Senate), while Bush is hoping to spend a billion dollars on border security--an issue that came out of nowhere just to tug on heartstrings and just for re-election banter. Give me a break. Why is immigration suddenly such an important issue to tackle versus bird flu, another in a long line of hysteria-driven Congressional drivel that results in a blasé electorate. After all we're at war, paying out the tooth while Oil Companies post billion dollar profits in single QUARTERS, and the big issue of 2002 (you know, terrorism) seems only to be a speech crutch for the Republicans when they can't get their way or when a whistleblower exposes the administration as a fascist regime. Sure some can connect the dots but it's not the connection the Administration ever makes--there's is a Darwinian tie-in how Americans can be pushed into a corner and manipulated 24/7. Of course the other side does the same, after all Democrats are guilty of a heinous crime of severe inaction for the past five years. They seemingly had no real interest in winning the White House which is precisely why they unleashed a torrent of ineffective candidates whom, while good to some degree in my view, were not appealing statesmen who did what America needs in this Bushian dictatorship--true leadership that inspires and invents.
