Oh the Hypocrisy
I guess it'll be interesting to see if all of the Christian right nut-bags who want to ban violence in oh I don't know, every-freakin-thing feel about the new Christian video game where you kill people who don't convert to Christianity. You know like a good old fashioned crusade! Yeah kill those infidels. Praise the Lord! But it's not the only christian game coming out. Money quote.
There is, for the most part, a remarkable verisimilitude except for one detail - all of the ambulances have 911 painted on their roofs. In the reality-based world, most ambulances have a red cross on top. Yet the game designers make prominent use of these 911 ambulances to evoke the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
I'm sure Jesus would approve. And people in this country actually think other countries like Saudi Arabia have problems with extremism? Give me a break. But maybe it's just because our extremists get Kirk Cameron to star in their movies...instead of bearded Muslim terrorists. Hmm, which has more reach and power and money?

Actually, in order to use the characteristic red cross in a video game, you would have to pay licensing fees. In Unreal 2 we had health kits you could pickup, but they had blue crosses on them to avoid having to pay the fee.

Second, I'm totally getting this game and listening to scathing unblack war metal like Horde or Firethrone while I play.
