A Long Overdue Post
A couple of weeks ago I unfortunately had to tell my bandmates that I couldn't give them the type of committment that they desired and deserved. After not practicing with the guys (and gal!) for a good month or more, I got an e-mail from my main man Carbomb (smother's #1 interview question!) that essentially read like he got the short straw (which is interesting noting that Corpsegrinder is the Official Mir Band Firer) essentially saying that they wanted to be able to practice 3 or more times a month and that they were hoping to record soon and play a show late this summer or early fall. While normally I would be all gung-ho since I'm having a kid I just honestly don't know what my schedule is going to be like and I don't want to flake out on this amazing band at the last minute. I told him and Jimmy that I too had been thinking about my future with Mir and wondering how I could balance my upcoming Lifechange™ with band practice and work and everything else. It just so happened the last couple of months happened to be insanely busy with birthing classes, work, family visits, and baby shower stuff. I can only imagine that it'll get more crazy too with my little man coming into the world in three or so weeks (OH MY GOD!).
Sadly I had to send my goodbyes but don't you worry my music experiences with these fine gentlemen (and girl!) aren't coming to a close. Indeed we spoke about hoping to still do some little side recording projects with each other. With Mr. Reeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeed I'd like to do some rock-a-billy/alt. country twang. Carbomb and I should do a blazing rock experiment with loads of power chords. Corpsegrinder and I shall record the finest grindcore heard to man. And my former singer, well I dunno, hopefully she can suggest something in the realm of awesome but perhaps I could finally get back to work on some nice electronica/club four-to-the-floor bangers that she could sing on.
It's a sad moment but it ushers in a whole new era of J-Sin and my life. I'm excited.
Besides, hopefully these guys can find a GOOD drummer that doesn't suck and play 4/4 stuff all the time. But in all seriousness I wish them the best of luck I can't wait to see what they do in the future, they really have a pretty sweet amount of talent.
Theo Huxtacable is their #1 fan with George Spencer and Wes Jones quickly in tail.

I miss ya buddy and believe that I will soon begin going through J-Sin "metal-scream" withdrawal. I wish I could scream like that.
Can't wait to see pictures of your new baby boy! Congratulations!
