i can't sleep
the last couple of weeks have been nightmarish in the good ole sleep world...maybe I should try to find the cure to insomnia...I figure it's my body trying to prepare me for having a child but I dunno...

Statistics have covered the excellent Failure tune "Another Space Song"...you can hear it on their MySpace but I want an mp3...whoever hooks me up first, wins!? Take a listen though, it's amazing. Denver's vocals are perfectly suited for this...
When I watched this Wedsnesday's South Park I wasn't sure if they were really being truthful that Comedy Central had censored them and not allowed the writers to show a depictation of Mohammed. Apparantly it did happen. How unbelievably lame. Money quote:
A frequent "South Park" critic, William Donohue of the anti-defamation group Catholic League, called on Parker and Stone to resign out of principle for being censored."The ultimate hypocrite is not Comedy Central -- that's their decision not to show the image of Mohammed or not -- it's Parker and Stone," he said. "Like little whores, they'll sit there and grab the bucks. They'll sit there and they'll whine and they'll take their shot at Jesus. That's their stock in trade."
Parker and Stone did not immediately respond to a request through a spokesman for comment.
I think it's funny when Catholics and Christians of all people whine about being defamed or skewered. There is no war on Christianity, not even if Tom DeLay says so. It's like white people in America complaining about being oppressed. Yes because clearly our options are always at the back of the bus (pun most certainly intentional).
Apparantly DC will be the home to thousands of Hispanics who are rallying against all of the Immigration bills being proposed. Are the Republicans really trying their hand at more racist wedge-issue politics? I think this is a calculated move that will isolate a huge and untapped base of voters who will swing to the Democrats if only because they're the ones NOT in power. Clearly the folks whispering in Bush's ears aren't doing a good job since you'd be hard pressed to find folks outside of the National Review circuit that are completely towing the line.
It was enjoyable watching yet another win by the Boston Red Sox who beat the hated home team of Baltimore this evening with the wife. Will Foulke close any time soon?
